Mission Design and deliver ongoing, interdisciplinary educational experiences for young students (K-12) that will teach American history and heritage through the indigenous African/American art form, the blues.

What it does Provides a program, utilizing a team of performers and teachers to demonstrate the role of the blues in the history and development of American culture. Implements a curriculum, utilizing a comprehensive program with student participation, teaching a basic understanding and knowledge of the blues. Students learn the skills necessary to create and perform the blues. Provides an opportunity to regularly perform the blues, utilizing periodic “jam“ sessions and performances, to maintain an ongoing level of student interest and skills.
